Chicago O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP)

The O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP) increases the runway capacity at Chicago O'Hare Airport, America's second busiest airport in terms of passenger numbers.

In order to allow for continued runway operations and match funding availabilities, the Program, costing more than US$8 billion, was separated into several phases.
- Phase 1
- Phase 2A
- Phase 2B

At the end of the final phase, there will be 6 parallel runways.  There is also space for a new Western Terminal Building in the future.

Chicago O'Hare Airport Multimodal Development

The ORD multimodal development consists of:
- Consolidated Rental Car Facility ($345 million) with over 4000 spaces
- over 2000 Public Parking spaces ($80 million)
- Airport Transfer System (ATS) extension, station and equipment ($340 million)
- Metro Station
- Bus Plaza

HKG Three Runway System Project (Jun 2014)

Hong Kong International Airport is currently doing design work on the Three Runway System Project.  They recently released a 4 minute video on their Youtube channel that shows more details of the Project. Click here.
